Qualifications & Skills:

• Current and valid Special Education teaching license in Louisiana (LA SPED license required)
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including ages 3-5 and elementary grades
• Comfortable supporting various classroom structures (inclusion, self-contained, resource rooms)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly in virtual and in-person environments
• Adaptability and a positive approach to addressing the unique needs of each child

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging instruction tailored to the needs of special education students in grades 2-6 and early childhood classrooms
• Work closely with other educators, para-professionals, and support staff
• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages students confidence and independence
• Participate in virtual interviews and collaborate virtually as needed
