Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students who have a range of abilities and learning differences
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Skilled in differentiated instruction techniques and classroom management
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to students unique learning needs
- Develop and track progress on IEP goals, maintaining thorough and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide integrated services
- Communicate regularly with families and guardians regarding student progress and needs
- Adapt instructional materials and classroom strategies to provide equitable access to the curriculum
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events where required
- Foster a supportive environment that nurtures student growth, self-advocacy, and success
