This position is located at a single elementary school near Lowell, MA, providing a stable and collaborative workspace. With hours from 8:15am to 3:00pm, you'll enjoy a consistent daytime schedule and the chance to truly connect with your caseload. The start date aligns with the new school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) teaching license required
- Previous classroom experience, particularly with elementary-aged students
- Strong familiarity and hands-on experience implementing ABA principles for students with Autism
- Collaborative spirit for working alongside families, specialists, and school staff
- Creative, adaptable approach to meeting unique learning and behavioral needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and behavioral supports for students with Autism in a substantially separate classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Consistently apply ABA techniques to foster academic and social growth
- Communicate progress and partner closely with families and caregivers
- Participate in school meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
