Job Description
An opportunity is available for a Massachusetts Certified Special Education Teacher to support elementary students through both inclusion support and pull-out instruction. This contract position offers the chance to work in a collaborative, elementary school environment focused on delivering quality education to students with special needs.
Location: North Billerica, MA
Contract Length: Immediate start through June 16, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day, totaling 32.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students with special needs in both inclusion and pull-out classroom settings
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) according to state and district guidelines
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and staff to support student learning and inclusion
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of goals and interventions
- Maintain a positive, supportive learning environment tailored to individual student strengths and needs
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and inclusion strategies
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with educators, families, and students
