Youll work within a supportive school community, with a single school assignment near the Lowell, MA area and a standard week of 37.5 hours.

Ideal Background and Skills:

• Valid Massachusetts teaching certification is required
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or classroom science instructor is desirable
• Ability to differentiate instruction, accommodating a diverse set of learning needs
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
• Experience with science curriculum for upper high school students (Chemistry focus preferred)
• Comfortable managing IEPs and collaborating on multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for 11th and 12th grade classes, following established curriculum and educational standards
• Develop and implement lesson plans that accommodate individual learning differences
• Evaluate student progress and adapt instructional methods as needed
• Manage classroom effectively to create a positive learning climate
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff to best serve students
• Maintain accurate records and participate in parent communications and team meetings
• Support school-wide initiatives and contribute to a vibrant academic environment
