Desired Qualifications:

• Valid NMPED (New Mexico Public Education Department) teaching certification
• Background in Special Education, with experience or strong interest in elementary-level instruction
• Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiation strategies
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff
• Adaptable, patient, and dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet each students needs and IEP goals
• Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments as needed for optimal learning outcomes
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and other staff to support an inclusive educational environment
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to parents and stakeholders
• Encourage a supportive and engaging classroom climate that celebrates each students strengths
