Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Previous experience teaching special education in a K-12 setting preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to students with varying exceptionalities across grade levels
  • Develop, monitor, and revise individualized education plans in partnership with families and school staff
  • Assess student abilities and regularly track progress toward goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for continued support
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to comply with school and state requirements
