Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Special Education (SPED) teaching license (please confirm specific endorsements required)
  • Experience working with middle school age students
  • High degree of comfort and skill in managing aggressive behaviors
  • Commitment to individualized support and ongoing student progress
  • Strong collaboration skills to work alongside classroom paras
  • Flexibility and adaptability in challenging situations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support for one middle school student with severe behavioral needs
  • Implement and monitor behavior management strategies, providing consistent, structured support
  • Collaborate daily with a supportive para to ensure student safety and educational growth
  • Document progress, behavioral incidents, and interventions as required
  • Engage in regular communication with caregivers, school staff, and relevant professionals to support holistic student development
  • Participate in any required school or district onboarding procedures
