Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience with students at multiple grade levels (Pre-K through 12th grade)
  • Expertise in adapting curriculum, especially in math, for students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and implementation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Compassion, patience, and a drive to foster a positive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction in various settings for students with special needs across all grade clusters
  • Develop, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitoring student progress and updating goals as needed
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to provide inclusive, engaging learning environments
  • Adapt materials and teaching methods to meet students unique learning styles, with a particular focus on supporting mathematics achievement
  • Communicate regularly with families to keep them informed and involved in their students growth
