Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Texas special education credential/certification (required)
• Proven experience or training working with K-12 students in special education settings
• Ability to create and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to inclusive education practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to diverse student needs, ages, and abilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor effective IEPs in cooperation with families and school staff
• Foster an encouraging, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and social growth
• Employ a variety of classroom management techniques to promote positive behaviors
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and evaluations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student goals
• Advocate for resources and services that enable students with special needs to thrive

Enjoy a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours across five days, working with students from kindergarten through grade 12.
