Job Description

Support the educational development of young learners as a Special Education Teacher focused on K-3 students in the Cleveland, Ohio area. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a school setting by delivering tailored instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in grades K-3
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote an inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and district special education guidelines
  • Support social and emotional development alongside academic growth

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with early childhood learners in special education preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and utilize evidence-based practices

Position Details:

  • Location: Cleveland, Ohio
  • Contract position within a school environment
  • 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
