Job Description

This position is for a School Based Special Education Teacher serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The role is located in Cleveland, Ohio, and follows a contractual non-school year schedule.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with K-12 students with special needs
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

Job Details:

  • Location: Cleveland, Ohio
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week
  • Student Age Group: Kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Position Duration: Contract, non-school year (NSY)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and support staff
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational standards
  • Support social and emotional development of students within a school setting
