This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment with full-time support from peer mentors, paraeducators, and a multidisciplinary team including BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, and Psych/Social Worker professionals.

As part of this role, you'll work onsite in a classroom setting at a middle school with a caseload of ten engaged students. Youll have the tools and resources needed to tailor your instruction and positively affect both academic and personal growth for students with diverse learning needs.

What were looking for:

• A minimum of one year of classroom experience in special education
• Current or in-process CDE license (must provide a copy of ACTIVE CDE license or COOL with your resume prior to interviewing)
• A flexible, team-oriented mindset and openness to collaborating with educators and support staff
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working with middle school students
• Competency in developing and implementing individualized educational plans

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and adapting lesson plans that meet the unique needs of each learner
• Collaborating closely with paraeducators, therapists, and other specialists to maximize student progress
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Monitoring student development and maintaining accurate records
• Communicating regularly with families and support staff about student goals and progress
