Key Qualifications:
- Valid Mississippi Special Education (SPED) License required
- Previous experience teaching in Special Day Classes or related settings preferred
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with school personnel and adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students in Special Day Classes within a single assigned school
- Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment for K-12 students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student achievements per district and state guidelines
