Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential
  • Proven experience or strong capability teaching a range of grades, from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Confidence in differentiating instruction for diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities
  • Ability to deliver instruction in core subjects, including Math, across multiple grade levels
  • Effective communication skills when partnering with students, families, colleagues, and support staff
  • Understanding and implementation of IEPs and progress monitoring
  • Passion for inspiring students' growth and nurturing a positive, safe classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to students individual needs
  • Adapt curriculum to accommodate learners from early childhood through high school
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to foster inclusive instruction
  • Assess, document, and track student progress, adjusting strategies when necessary
  • Lead or participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate student records
  • Cultivate a supportive classroom atmosphere that celebrates diversity and promotes academic and social development
