Job Description

Step into a meaningful role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in an early childhood setting. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, providing essential coverage while a valued staff member is on maternity leave. You will work with a learning support caseload, focusing on push-in and pull-out services, and there are no behavior or emotional support responsibilitiesa fantastic environment for someone who enjoys fostering academic growth in a collaborative atmosphere.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Pennsylvania
  • Previous experience in early childhood or learning support settings is highly valued
  • Strong ability to deliver individualized instruction and adapt to diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with students, colleagues, and families
  • Comfortable collaborating within a team and participating in educational planning
  • Full-time availability for the duration of the current school year

What Youll Do:

  • Provide learning support to early childhood students through both classroom integration and individualized pull-out sessions
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt lessons and strategies
  • Monitor student progress, complete paperwork, and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom and partner with paraprofessional staff as needed
  • Engage in school-specific onboarding and training to ensure alignment with district practices
