Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience working with high school students in a special education setting
• Strong background in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt instruction for varying learning needs
• Familiarity with current special education laws, practices, and accommodations

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to a caseload of approximately 19 high school students
• Develop, implement, and update IEPs to promote student success
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain timely documentation and compliance with relevant regulations
• Encourage advocacy and self-determination among students
