Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold current Exceptional Children (EC) teaching certification specific to North Carolina requirements
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or closely related field (Masters preferred)
• Proven experience working with diverse learners, including developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, collaborating with students, parents, and school staff
• Demonstrated ability to create inclusive and supportive classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction to students in EC resource classrooms (two positions at elementary, one at middle school, one at high school level)
• Assess individual student needs and design instructional strategies that promote achievement and growth
• Develop and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with district and state standards
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom climate that encourages student engagement and independence
