Multiple positions are available in resource teaching across elementary, middle, and high school levels, all onsite.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold current Exceptional Children (EC) teaching certification specific to North Carolina requirements
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or closely related field (Masters preferred)
- Proven experience working with diverse learners, including developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, collaborating with students, parents, and school staff
- Demonstrated ability to create inclusive and supportive classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction to students in EC resource classrooms (two positions at elementary, one at middle school, one at high school level)
- Assess individual student needs and design instructional strategies that promote achievement and growth
- Develop and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with district and state standards
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom climate that encourages student engagement and independence
