Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education certification with relevant endorsements (refer to detailed categories above based on assignment)
  • Direct experience supporting students with Autism in a school setting
  • Proficiency working with diverse exceptional needs, including affective, autism, cross-categorical, functional academics, and severe needs/life skills populations
  • Willingness to complete background check and fingerprints as part of district onboarding

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet a range of student needs across assigned classroom(s)
  • Collect data and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as appropriate
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture in new or established environments
  • Maintain regular, open communication with families and district stakeholders
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts
