Take the next step in your special education career by supporting students in a vibrant, inclusive school community in the Denver metro area. This full-time, onsite opportunity focuses on empowering students in a center-based program specializing in affective needs. Youll join a dedicated team providing crucial services to elementary-aged learners, helping them grow academically and socially throughout the school year.
Your assignment will begin as soon as possible and run through late May 2026, with a weekly schedule of 35+ hours. As the Special Education Teacher, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized plans, implement evidence-based interventions, and nurture the unique strengths of every child.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Department of Education certification in Special Education
- Experience in a school setting preferred (newly certified professionals are welcome)
- Passion for supporting students with significant social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs aligned with student goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction, behavioral supports, and differentiated lessons in a center-based program for students with affective needs
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust strategies to maximize growth
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Foster an encouraging, positive learning environment
