Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience teaching in a K-12 or specialized settings, including early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school environments
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies in both special education and math across all grade bands
• Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to engage students at various developmental stages, fostering both academic skills and self-advocacy
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Dedication to creating equitable, supportive, and inclusive classroom communities

Responsibilities:

• Provide differentiated, individualized instruction in math and other core content areas for students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each students strengths and goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to inform instructional decisions and track progress
• Cultivate a positive, encouraging classroom environment where all students are empowered to reach their potential
• Adapt teaching methods and materials for students of all ages, from Pre-K through 12th grade
