Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
- Experience teaching students across multiple grade levels, including Pre-K, Kindergarten, elementary (K-5), middle (6-8), and high school (9-12)
- Strong instructional skills in core subjects, with a particular emphasis on math
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Adaptability in supporting students with diverse learning challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and support for students with special needs across various grade levels
- Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating closely with families, support staff, and administrators
- Create lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles and abilities, especially in mathematics
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to encourage continual growth
- Encourage students confidence and independence within academic and social settings
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
