Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Missouri Special Education Teacher license required
- Candidates with full licensure in another state and pending Missouri certification will be considered
- Experience in elementary, middle, or high school special education settings is highly valued
- Flexibility to work with either essential skills/low-functioning elementary caseloads or resource co-teaching for older students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Must be available for on-site work; virtual positions are not available
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in accordance with legal and district guidelines
- Differentiate instruction to address varied learning abilities and needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with policies
