Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education (SPED) teaching license
• Proven experience teaching or supporting middle school-age students with intellectual disabilities, preferably in a resource or self-contained setting
• Familiarity with IEP development, differentiation, and progress monitoring for students with mild intellectual disabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary school teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with mild ID
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state requirements
• Collaborate with colleagues, paraprofessionals, and specialists to create a supportive learning environment
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation as required by the district
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff professional development, and parent communications
