Qualifications & Experience:
- Current South Carolina Special Education teaching license
- Experience working with students with varying needs across all grade levels
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs
- Preferred: Background in behavior management and intervention
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction in accordance with each students IEP
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
- Employ evidence-based strategies to support academic and social-emotional development
- Maintain accurate records of progress and compliance documentation
- Create a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families and education teams
- Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse student needs
