Two dedicated professionals are needed for full-time Special Education teaching positionsone primary classroom role and one float teacher who will assist across classrooms with a preschool caseload. Qualifications:
- Current and valid Maine Special Education Teacher License required
- Expertise in special education classroom environments, particularly at the preschool level
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Positive, team-oriented mindset and reliability
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons tailored for preschoolers with diverse abilities
- Maintain accurate documentation for IEPs and student progress
- Collaborate with classroom staff, related service providers, and families
- Create a welcoming, structured classroom environment that fosters growth and learning
- For the float position, provide instructional support and substitute coverage as needed across special education preschool classrooms
