Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to work with 2nd and 3rd grade students in Leominster, Massachusetts. This contract position offers a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week across five days, supporting a small caseload of 1215 students through individualized instruction and targeted support.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license for grades 23
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
  • Strong knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and effective instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and colleagues

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students in grades 2 and 3
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to support student success
  • Track student progress and adjust teaching methods to improve outcomes
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in meetings and parent conferences

Compensation for this position ranges from $24.00 to $47.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
