Job Description

Special Education Teachers are sought for an exciting contract opportunity working with K-12 students in Massachusetts. Qualifications:

  • Current Massachusetts Special Education License required
  • Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs, preferably across K-12
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational staff
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt strategies for a range of learning styles
  • Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and progress monitoring
  • Positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to individualized instruction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to students on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general educators, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure student needs are met
  • Create and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning goals and benchmarks
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Engage in regular communication with families regarding student progress and goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based team activities
