Job Description

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Bachelors degree (required); Masters a plus
  • Experience with IEP development and implementation
  • Skilled in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, parents, and school staff
  • Comfortable leveraging technology to support learning
  • Previous classroom or special education experience highly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and carry out individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Provide direct instruction, resource support, and interventions as outlined in students IEPs
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to adapt curriculum and teaching methods
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, service delivery, and communication logs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related services providers, and families to ensure supportive learning environments
  • Attend team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
