Job Description

What Youll Need:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher licensure
  • Experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle school students
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and implementation
  • Ability to collaborate with general and special education staff, counselors, and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead instructor within the TLC program, building effective instructional plans tailored to students specific needs
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop, adapt, and monitor IEPs
  • Engage in regular communication with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and goals
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies and accommodations
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
