Job Description
This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher position in Fitchburg, MA, working with high school students (grades 9-12). The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 20 students with mild to moderate disabilities, providing tailored instruction and support to help them achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education License covering High School level
- Experience working with mild to moderate special education students preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of around 20 students effectively
