Multiple contract positions are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers across elementary, middle, high school, and alternative school settings. • 10 positions in elementary schools
• 5 positions in middle schools
• 4 positions in high schools
• 2 positions within alternative Bridges programs designed for students with severe behaviors (all grades)

Qualifications:

• Active Kansas teaching license specific to the grade level you wish to teach (must be in hand prior to assignment)
• Previous experience in special education or related settings is highly valued
• Enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents with diverse learning needs, especially in life skills, autism, and behavioral programs
• Adaptability, patience, and excellent communication skills are essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students strengths, needs, and goals
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment to promote academic, social, and emotional growth
• Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, therapists, families, and fellow educators
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and positive behavior supports
• Maintain accurate records and regular progress reporting
