Were seeking passionate Special Education Teachers to address a significant need, with 21 vacancies spanning Kindergarten through 12th grade. These roles serve a range of settings, including life skills, autism support, and behavioral classrooms. Openings are available at elementary (10 positions), middle (5 positions), high (4 positions), and in "Bridges," an alternative program serving students across all grades with significant behavioral needs (2 positions).
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Active Kansas teaching license in Special Education for the designated grade level (must be secured prior to district submission)
- Expertise in at least one of the following: life skills instruction, supporting children on the autism spectrum, or managing behavioral/alternative classroom environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in K-12 special education settings preferred
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Foster positive, supportive, and structured classroom environments
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Support inclusion and meet compliance requirements set by state and federal regulations
