Qualifications:

• Valid Kansas Special Education Teaching License (required)
• Experience working with students in early childhood and/or elementary settings
• Strong background with intensive skills caseloadsspecifically, supporting students with autism or related developmental needs
• Ability to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Effective communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptable, compassionate approach to addressing diverse learning styles and behavioral needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet IEP goals for each student
• Create a nurturing, structured classroom environment that promotes engagement, safety, and positive behaviors
• Collaborate with general educators, therapists, and family members to ensure student needs are met holistically
• Monitor student progress and document outcomes, making data-driven adjustments as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and updates on student achievement and areas for growth
• Incorporate evidence-based interventions and instructional strategies
