Key Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students in grades 3 and 6, preferably within special education settings
  • Strong understanding of ELA instruction for 3rd grade and Math for 6th grade
  • Ability to adapt lessons, provide individualized support, and collaborate with general education teachers
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Tech-savvy, with comfort using virtual conferencing tools for meetings when needed

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instructional support in a half-day ELA block for 3rd graders and a half-day Math block for 6th graders
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans, modifying curriculum to support IEP goals
  • Track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Foster an inclusive, positive classroom climate
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff to share updates and strategies
  • Maintain compliance with district and state guidelines for special education
