Qualifications and Experience:

• Current teaching certification in Special Education
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred)
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate and engage students with varying abilities
• Familiarity with assistive technology and differentiated instructional methods

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individual student needs and IEP goals
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviors, and academic achievement
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to promote student success
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary team members
• Create a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation
• Attend required meetings, training, and professional development sessions
