Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license required
  • Demonstrated experience working in special education settings, specifically with elementary-aged children
  • Proven expertise in ABA principles, with success supporting students with Autism
  • Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and administrative teams
  • Adaptable, compassionate, and committed to creating supportive learning opportunities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
  • Lead academic and social skills instruction within a substantially separate classroom
  • Employ ABA strategies to foster student growth and positive behavior
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to track progress and adjust teaching methods
  • Communicate regularly with families to ensure a cohesive approach to student development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant policies and regulations
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and school-based trainings as needed

You will be based at a single school site, providing stability and allowing you to build meaningful relationships with your students and colleagues. The on-site work hours are 8:15am to 3:00pm, totaling 32.5 hours per week for the school year.
