Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid North Carolina Special Education (SPED) teaching license
  • Experience working in elementary settings, particularly with behavioral needs
  • Ability to create individualized education plans and adapt instruction for diverse learners
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with paraprofessionals and school teams
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction to students with behavioral and emotional disabilities in a self-contained classroom
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals (2 assigned), ensuring high-quality student support and safety

  • Track and report student progress; communicate regularly with families and team members
