This contract opportunity is conveniently located near Laurel, MD, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Maryland Special Education Teaching License required
- Experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adaptable approach to teaching diverse learners
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction and support tailored to high school students with special needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Develop and update individualized education plans in line with student needs
- Participate in regular meetings and professional development sessions
