Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Nevada special education teaching license (required)
- Experience working with diverse student populations across K-12 settings is preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual needs and learning styles
- Organized, flexible, and committed to positive student outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with state and federal requirements
- Create inclusive, engaging lesson plans that support academic and social-emotional growth
- Deliver direct instruction and interventions to students with a range of disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each assigned student
- Manage student behavior using positive, proactive strategies
