Step into a rewarding, contract-based opportunity as a Learning Support Teacher, providing essential support to students as a long-term Special Education substitute. Beginning in September and running through December 2026, youll play a key role during core academic hours, supporting students and collaborating with colleagues in a single school located conveniently near Lansdale, PA.

Your responsibilities will include teaching one or two dedicated classes and co-teaching in other periods throughout the school day, which runs from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Youll make an immediate impact on students in need of specialized guidance, working closely with a supportive network of education professionals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania certification in Special Education (N-12 or 7-12)
• Additional certification in high school Algebra and/or Science is highly valued
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally at the middle or high school level
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate in a co-teaching environment
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide learning support to students as the long-term Special Education substitute
• Teach assigned classes and co-teach during designated class periods
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Assist in tracking student progress and maintaining accurate records
• Work with colleagues and support staff to create cohesive educational plans
