Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the upcoming school year at a middle school located in Lansdale, PA. This contract role involves working onsite 40 hours per week, supporting students in an Autism Support Classroom within a high school setting. The position requires a dedicated educator with a strong background in special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support for students in the Autism Support Classroom
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student development
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain documentation and comply with all school and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License required
- Certification in special education or possession of an emergency certification with substantial experience
- Proven ability to work effectively with students with autism and diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
