Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Successful experience or a strong interest in working with students with special needs
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Commitment to adapting instruction based on student strengths and needs
• Strong organizational and classroom management abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Create and modify lesson plans to address unique learning requirements
• Provide direct instruction to students individually or in small groups
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and progress monitoring
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation from all students
• Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with best practices in special education
