Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students who have varied learning needs and disabilities
  • Proficient in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and support staff
  • Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning and classroom management
  • Enthusiasm for fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop tailored lesson plans suited to each students learning style and needs
  • Conduct assessments and track student progress toward IEP goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to support student learning
  • Deliver instruction in both small group and individual settings
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations
  • Provide a safe, encouraging, and inclusive space where all students can thrive
  • Participate in professional development and staff meetings to continually enhance your skills
