Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Lexington, SC for the 20262027 school year. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative and inclusive educational setting.

Travel Opportunity: This role includes paid housing and daily meal stipends for qualified travel candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities across both general education and special education environments.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to foster student success.

• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.

• Create and deliver engaging, specialized instruction to enhance academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development.

• Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and advocate for student needs.

• Stay up-to-date with current special education practices and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.

• Valid South Carolina teaching license with a special education endorsement (or eligibility for licensure).

• Previous experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.

• Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• A patient, empathetic approach and a passion for helping all students reach their potential.
