Desired Background and Skills
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher certification required
- Demonstrated experience or specialized training in emotional support preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to develop and adjust IEPs to address individual needs
- Empathetic and patient approach to building rapport with students and families
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver differentiated instruction aligned to IEP goals for middle schoolers in self-contained classes
- Adapt materials and teaching strategies to support students academic, social, and emotional development
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as needed to ensure the best outcomes
- Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to promote student engagement and growth
- Maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment that nurtures positive behavior and emotional well-being
Schedule Details
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 am 3:10 pm
