Make a difference in the lives of middle school students by supporting their academic and developmental progress as an Intervention Specialist. This full-time contract position offers an engaging opportunity to collaborate with educators and families while helping students achieve their goals. The assignment runs from August 5, 2026, through May 27, 2027, for 37.5 hours each week during the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid, active Ohio Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 license (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Intensive)
- Demonstrated experience working with students who have multiple disabilities
- Skilled at working in resource rooms, small group instructional settings, tutoring, and inclusion models
- Ability to effectively collaborate with fellow staff and work compassionately with students and families from diverse backgrounds
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to middle school students IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Support students through resource room services, small group sessions, and inclusive classroom environments
- Monitor and track student progress, documenting interventions and outcomes as required
- Partner with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to maximize student success
- Employ evidence-based teaching practices to address both academic and behavioral needs
