Job Description

Your role centers on working full-time onsite (37.5 hours per week), building strong relationships with students and promoting their academic, social, and emotional growth. The position runs from August through May 2027, offering stability and the opportunity to follow students progress over the academic year.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching License for Washington State
  • ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Certification required
  • Experience supporting students in a resource classroom setting strongly preferred
  • Committed to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Skilled at developing and implementing IEPs and differentiated instruction
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans based on students unique strengths and needs
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as appropriate
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
  • Document and maintain accurate records in alignment with IEP goals and state requirements
  • Foster student engagement and self-advocacy in academic and social settings
