Step into a rewarding position supporting preschool-aged learners as a Special Education Teacher on a long-term substitute contract. Set to begin August 25, 2026, this full-time opportunity is ideal for educators passionate about early childhood special education and eager to make a direct impact on students' growth and development. The assignment will extend for approximately 12 weeks, offering valuable experience and the chance to shape young minds during a pivotal stage.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for preschool children, ensuring educational practices are appropriately tailored to each childs developmental level
- Develop, implement, and track student progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster a nurturing, positive classroom environment where all students can thrive academically and socially
- Collaborate closely with families, school staff, and fellow educators to promote student success
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and accommodations to meet diverse learning needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure appropriate for preschool-aged students
- Experience working with early childhood or preschool-age special needs populations preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP process and documentation
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting young learners and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
