This contract position runs for approximately 12 weeks, starting September 16, 2026, covering a maternity leave. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with multiple disabilities, preferably in K-2 settings
- Ability to adapt curriculum and implement student-specific accommodations
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset for working with support staff, therapists, and families
- Familiarity with IEPs and documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver modified lesson plans tailored for students with multiple disabilities
- Maintain clear, structured routines and a safe, engaging classroom atmosphere
- Monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents, support staff, and administrators
