A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available in Lakewood, NJ at a high school with a self-contained classroom setting. This onsite position offers a W-2 contract arrangement focused on delivering individualized support to students with special needs.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet diverse student needs.
• Create and maintain a structured, nurturing classroom environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Apply evidence-based instructional strategies to support student development.
• Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive student success.
• Conduct regular assessments and track student progress, modifying approaches as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with New Jersey state regulations and district policies.

Qualifications needed to excel in this position include:

• A bachelors degree in education or special education.
• Active New Jersey TOH or TOSD certification.
• Experience working in a school setting is highly beneficial.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of background checks and drug screening.
