Desired Qualifications:

  • Holds a valid Minnesota teaching credential in at least one of the following:
    • Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders
    • Special Education: Developmental Disabilities
    • Special Education: Early Childhood
    • Special Education: Emotional Behavioral Disorders
    • Special Education: Learning Disabilities
    • Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (optional; not required)
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and monitor behavior intervention strategies
  • Strong instructional skills adaptable to diverse learners
  • Consistent attendance and reliability
  • Experience collaborating with both special education and general education colleagues
  • Ability to organize, guide, and plan with paraprofessionals for optimal classroom support

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and adjust IEPs tailored to students unique needs
  • Utilize behavior management strategies to support student growth
  • Structure classroom routines for predictability and success
  • Collaborate regularly with general education staff and related service providers
  • Oversee daily communication and scheduling with paraprofessionals
  • Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment that celebrates student achievements
