Make a difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive educational community near Lakeville, MN. Three rewarding contract roles are available, each dedicated to serving students with diverse abilities across a range of ages and needs. Beginning September 8, 2026, through June 4, 2027, youll work full-time (35 hours per week) in center-based classrooms designed to foster growth and skill development in a collaborative environment.

What Youll Need:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education (MN SPED) teaching license (required)
• Experience or interest in working with students with autism spectrum disorder, cognitive disabilities, or emotional behavior disorders
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn about alternative curriculums, adaptive communication systems (AAC devices), and mobility assistance
• Strong commitment to supporting academic, functional, and daily living skill development
• Ability to foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

What Youll Do:

• Serve as the licensed teacher for a group of 612 students in one of three specialized center-based settings
• Develop and implement individualized education plans, utilizing alternative or modified core curriculum as appropriate
• Support students needs in academics, communication, self-care, and regulation skills
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, families, and general education teams to promote student success
• Create an environment where each child can thrive according to their unique abilities and goals
• Employ adaptive strategies and tools to help every student participate and engage
